A gem, worth a visit

A little gem. Olivier is a wonderful host. So accommodating ... We arrived much much later than expected, Olivier rearranged my amazing massage so that I was able to relax before being served a delicious meal, made with some home grown produce. The latter being served in a cozy dining room where logs were burning on the fire. Our dog was made more than welcome. The bedroom and bed were extremely comfy and too much breakfast for us to eat! Well worth a visit ... Use the masseuse, she is excellent.

A gem of a hotel

We stayed for 4 nights in June during our travels around France and cannot recommend La Tillaie enough. It is a delightful old house recently renovated by Olivier, who has more plans for the future. Our room on the top floor, overlooking the garden, had a large comfortable bed and was tastefully furnished, with a modern en-suite bathroom. Dinners, which were thoughtfully prepared by Christophe, plus evening snacks when we felt too full from lunches out for a full meal at night, were taken either in the dining room, outside on the terrace, or in the garden 'bothy'.. Our whole stay, from start to finish, was five star and our lovely welcoming hosts made it an experience never to be forgotten. Definitely a place not to be missed.

Wow! An absolute gem of a hotel.

This is an outstanding little hotel with a very friendly and helpful owner. We stayed overnight as we were driving across France and it was a refreshing stopover. The room was comfortable, a great mix of antiques and modern style. We pre booked dinner and it was a delicious home cooked 3 course meal with good local wine and locally sourced fresh ingredients. Parking was free and easy to get into. Our dog was welcomed. Olivier was the perfect host (and he speaks really good English if your French isn't too good!). We will return.

We have visited La Tillaie on at lest 3 occasions now and have never been disappointed. La Tillaie is tastefully furnished and the rooms are so calm and peaceful. The beds are incredibly comfortable and we had a perfect nights sleep. The B&B was perfectly located for us.
